The Environmental Science Program provides an exciting, inquiry-based environmental science curriculum. We utilize a hands-on approach to environmental science with numerous experiments, activities and projects. With this approach students are active and engaged learners. We promote "citizen science" with students becoming scientists and conducting environmental investigations. Students in the Environmental Program participate in many adventurous activities including camping, fishing, hiking, caving, archery and canoeing. Our schools enjoys a long-standing partnership with the Louisville Zoo. Our campus boasts a certified wildlife habitat with a spring-fed stream and acres of trees and meadows. Our students have developed a nature trail, a tree nursery, a butterfly garden, and a birdfeeder station within our nature area.
